Privacy Policy — Dead Sets

Dead Sets ("the app") is a Grateful Dead setlist explorer for iOS. This policy describes what
information the app handles and how. The short version: the app has no accounts, collects no
personal information, and shows no ads.
Information we collect
- Anonymous identifier. The app generates a random, anonymous identifier
(via RevenueCat) to manage your subscription and enforce daily chat message limits. It is not
linked to your name, email, Apple Account, or any other personal identity.
- Subscription status. When you subscribe to Dead Head Chat, Apple and our
subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, process the purchase. We receive only your
anonymous identifier and subscription status (active/expired). We never see your payment
details.
- Chat messages. Messages you send to Dead Head Chat are transmitted to our
servers and processed by an AI model (hosted on Amazon Web Services) to generate a response.
Messages are associated only with your anonymous identifier. We do not use your messages to
train AI models.
What we don't collect
No name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.
The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and does not track you across
other apps or websites.
Third-party services
- Apple — processes subscription payments under its own
privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status
(privacy policy).
- Amazon Web Services — hosts our chat backend and AI model.
Data retention
Subscription status and daily message counts are retained while your subscription is active
and for a reasonable period afterward for operational purposes. Because identifiers are
anonymous, we cannot identify which records belong to a specific person.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from
anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated
effective date on this page.
